Another absolute thrill is the inclusion of my piece, Pandemic Playground, in the Brushed exhibition, curated by Courtney Cerruti at The Compound Gallery in Emeryville, CA. I saw the call for this one, when my friend Jennifer Wilkin Penick posted about the piece she submitted (and it was accepted as well!) and pulled out a piece that I had worked on closer to the beginning of the pandemic with cardboard from grocery deliveries. It looked a little bland, but had a paintbrush in it, so I added a bunch of bright, cheery colors and, of course, some dots. It was fun to package it up and send it all the way across the country.
