I'm in a new show with Anjelika Deogirikar Grossman called future/past, curated by Beth Ferraro at Gallery Y located in the YMCA Anthony Bowen in Washington, DC. It is a fantastic space, and the show will be open daily beginning (today!) November 14 through late January.
There are seventeen pieces from my Women in Monochrome body of work alongside collages from Anjelika's Letters to my Future Self series. It is lovely to see how these collage works talk to each other in the bright, lively Gallery Y space. Thank you to Beth for bringing this show to fruition, what a thrill!
There will be an opening reception on December 5 from 6-8pm and all are invited! Additionally, Anjelika and I will be doing a collage workshop on January 11 from 2-4pm in the gallery space, more details to come. Below are a few sneak peek photos from the install this week. I can't wait for you to see this in person if you are local, and if not, don't worry, I'll post lots of pictures on Instagram!
Gallery Y is located in the lobby of Anthony Bowen YMCA at 1325 W St NW, Washington DC. Open hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7am-10pm, Friday 7am–8pm, Saturday and Sunday 7am-7pm & by appointment. To purchase art or make an appointment with the curator, contact Beth Ferraro at theartisland.dc@gmail.com or call 202-780-8275.
